Sally Frye, DCP

Dr Sally Frye is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology and Directof of the Griffith University Psychology Clinic. She has worked for many years with disadvantaged families and has a strong interest in working with women and children invovled in the criminal justice system.  Sally lived and worked outback for many years.As a  psychologist in Kalgoorlie, WA she was involved in the co ordination of an outreach program designed to increase school attendance for young children. Most recently, since her arrival in Brisbane in 1999 she has been working with multiproblem families in both clinical and child abuse and neglect settings. Her doctoral thesis evaluated the feasibility and short term effectiveness of the Parents Under Pressure for women offenders currently residing with their children across community custody, non custodial community supervision and on release from secure custody. She has provided extensive clinical supervision across different professional groups and is a Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Queensland Registration Board.

Ms Louise du Chesne

Ms Louise du Chesne is a Registered Psychologist and has worked with adolescents, families and adults across a range of therapeutic settings including community mental health, private practice and drug and alcohol services.  She has worked with families in group and individual contexts using the PUP model and she has experience working with people struggling with substance abuse.  She has a particular interest in recovery from traumatic events, including childhood sexual abuse, and works sensitively with clients to draw on their inherent strengths in order to address experiences of posttraumatic stress and other trauma related conditions.  Louise is a qualified Gestalt Therapist and brings a relational and ‘here and now’ approach to her work.  Louise is currently completing her Clinical Doctorate in Psychology and her research investigates treatment for people who have experienced trauma and substance abuse
